Ausschreibungsbeschreibung
Trinity College Dublin request the supply of an Integrated Controller and Software for a Real Time Hybrid Structural Test System for testing of structures subjected to dynamic loading. The new controller and software package will be direct replacements for antiquated components in an existing real-time hybrid testing system. This system uses a 150kN actuator to apply force and/or displacement to test specimens. Hydraulic power supplied by an air-cooled HPU with a capacity of 100lpm. Hybrid testing is an advanced form of structural testing that integrates laboratory experiments with computational modelling. The structure to be investigated is partitioned into two substructures, one of which is physically tested in the laboratory while the response of the other is modelled using computational methods. The test controller and associated software will enable real-time hybrid testing of structures subjected to dynamic loading. The new controller and software package will be direct replacements for antiquated components in an existing real-time hybrid testing system in the TCD structural engineering laboratory. This system uses an MTS 244.23 150kN actuator to apply force and/or displacement to test samples, with hydraulic power supplied by an MTS SilentFlo 515.3 HPU. Hybrid testing integrates laboratory experiments with computational modelling. The structure to be investigated is partitioned into two substructures, one of which is physically tested in the laboratory while the response of the other is modelled using computational methods.

Integrated Measurement System for 2D/3D Fluid/Particle Velocity and Surface Deformation (2D/3D-PIV-DIC) for Trinity College Dublin (TCD)
The Department of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Biomedical Engineering in Trinity College Dublin requires the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of an advanced 2D/3D Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Digital Image Correlation (DIC) system to support cutting-edge experimental research in fluid dynamics and solid mechanics. The system shall comprise a high-energy pulsed laser, synchronised high-resolution cameras, precision timing and control units, and fully integrated acquisition and analysis software. The solution must be capable of capturing high-accuracy, time-resolved measurements of velocity fields, particle motion, and surface deformation, enabling two-dimensional (2D) and ideally also three-dimensional (3D) analysis. It should support applications involving complex flow regimes, multiphase flows, and structural behaviour under varying conditions. Flexibility for future upgrades is essential, including the potential to incorporate temperature and scalar concentration measurements. The equipment must demonstrate proven reliability, accuracy, and repeatability, and be suitable for intensive research use. Full installation, calibration, commissioning, and user training are required, along with comprehensive documentation and ongoing technical support. The system must integrate seamlessly with existing laboratory infrastructure and contribute to enhancing the Department’s research capabilities and output.

RFT for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning and Calibration of Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) for Protein Complexes for Trinity College Dublin
Trinity College Dublin require the supply of Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) for protein complexes for the deliverables of a Research Ireland grant. The calorimeter is required for measuring micro-calories of heat evolved or absorbed from protein-protein and protein-small molecule interactions in aqueous solution. The measurement involves multiple injections of ligand (protein, other macromolecules, small molecules) into a cell containing another protein, small molecule, or other macromolecules. The titration is performed under isothermal conditions using a reference cell containing water or related aqueous solution that is similar to the experimental cell. Changes in temperature between the two cells during injections are rapidly equilibrated using active power compensation that is calibrated for calories of heat. The properties of the isothermal titration calorimeter should include the following: (1) The tenderer SHOULD provide a new or recent state-of the-art (ex-demo) model ITC calorimeter, and if ex-demo, it should be minimally used. Volume of experimental and reference cells should be approximately 200 mico-Liters. (2) Typical concentration ranges for analyses should ideally be in the range from 1 micro-Molar to 100 micro-Molar for macromolecules (typically proteins) in the cell, and 10 micro-Molar to 1M concentrations in the injections syringe for the ligand. (3) Preferred temperature range for isothermal titrations from 4 deg Celsius to 60 deg Celsius. (4) software that can analyse data and determine the Kd (dissociation constant), enthalpy, and entropy from analyses of the titrations. (5) Software should handle simple 1:1 binding models, with the possibility to analyse more complex interactions, such as multiple binding sites, sequential interactions. The capability to analyse complex binding with rigor would be a major advantage, as many interactions are not simple 1:1. (6) minimal generation of bubbles or artefactual heat, which may arise from high concentrations of viscous protein in cell (7) Ideally - prefer system/software compatibility with .opj files generated by Origin 7 (or later) software, since we have nearly 20 years of previous data collections. This could be transferred to new control computer for continuity. (8) New computer, drivers, and accessories required to run the calorimeter software.

Supply, Delivery and Installation of a Continuous, Ambient Gas Concentration Analyser for Technological University Dublin
Tenders are sought for a continuous, ambient gas concentration analyser capable of measuring atmospheric gases in real-time, outdoors. The primary focus of the gas analyser is the real-time detection and quantification of ammonia and methane gas in the ambient atmosphere and particularly in agricultural settings. In addition to the ammonia, the ability to detect and quantify the other gases such as, and not limited to, nitrous oxide and water vapour, would be desirable

LA3634C-DCC-CFT for the Supply of a Gas Chromatography system with a Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (GC-QQQ), Helium Saver Autosamplers for Purge and Trap and Solid Phase Micro Extraction
Dublin City Council (DCC) Central Laboratory wishes to procure a new gas chromatography mass spectrometry system for water quality analysis based on SI99 of 2023. Dublin City Council’s Central Laboratory conducts and provides INAB accredited testing of public and private drinking water supplies, as well as testing Uisce Eireann water samples from processing and the supply network as required. In future, DCC expects to focus increasingly on private supplies, and the applicable legislation requires the same range of tests as at present. Many of these tests are currently outsourced by DCC, meanwhile limits and enforcement are expected to tighten over time. The main focus of the current procurement specification is to bring analyses back in-house and onto DCC’s INAB ISO17025 scope, to maximise 1. Practicable reduction in the costs of outsourced analyses by the Central Laboratory 2. DCC’s ability to implement its current and future statutory testing 3. DCC testing capability to serve Local Authorities around Ireland 4. Provision of impartial means for DCC to verify the effectiveness of water management initiatives for Climate and Urban Resilience. Analytical parameters of interest are based on Statutory Instrument 99-2023 and include core suites of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs including THMs), Pesticides, and Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Potential future additions to the scope include the endocrine disruptors and (micro)plastic residues. To address this Dublin City Council request tender’s equipment supply, delivery, installation, setup, service and maintenance, warranty, software licences and upgrades, and a stock of consumable equipment parts, and training: for a Gas Chromatography system with a Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (GC-QQQ), Helium saver, and autosamplers for Purge and Trap and Solid Phase Micro Extraction.
