Ausschreibungsbeschreibung
Forensic Science Ireland request the supply of a Benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer with a compatible autosampler system. It is envisioned that this NMR system will be used to quantify many common analytes submitted to a volume drugs analysis lab, such as MDMA, amphetamine, methylamphetamine, and ketamine. The system will be utilised for rapid isomer identification to replace current Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) methods. The NMR spectrometer will also be used for full molecule structural elucidation, where samples are infrequently encountered, and for the general analysis of chemical unknown exhibits that are submitted to the laboratory. The analytical data generated from this spectrometer will be used to prepare casefiles for presentation to the courts for legal proceedings in Ireland.

LA3455F DAFM – RFT to Establish a Single Supplier Framework Agreement for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning and Calibration of a Temperature Monitoring System
Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning, Calibration, staff training and maintenance of a temperature monitoring system for laboratory equipment. The 2 locations required are, 1. DAFM Laboratories Backweston, Celbridge, Co. Kildare. 2. DAFM Cork Laboratory, BTL, Model Farm Road, Cork, Co. Cork. The proposed Temperature Monitoring System is intended to be used for the temperature monitoring of laboratory equipment for: Incubators, Chill Cabinets, Freezers and Ovens. The Temperature Monitoring system will ideally have the capability to monitor equipment temperatures from -80C to 150C, the laboratory may also require liquid nitrogen monitoring. The temperature monitoring system must be easily accessed on multiple Desktops/Laptops. All of the temperature monitoring probes require calibration; the supplier must be ISO 17025 accredited for specified temperature range. In addition to the initial purchase by DAFM, The State Laboratory reserves the right to purchase one (1) additional Temperature Monitoring System, if required, during the term of the framework, up to the value of the published framework agreement.

Tender for the supply, delivery, and support of Present Weather Sensors, spares and ancillaries.
Met Éireann maintains a national infrastructure of instrumentation for monitoring meteorological and environmental observations and measurements. Many of these are at unmanned locations and are referred to as Automatic Weather Stations (AWS), where the data is processed for inclusion into synoptic code by data loggers. Visibility and present weather observations form part of this remit and specialist sensors are used for the detection, identification and measurement of the relevant parameters. Instruments incorporating some or all of these sensors are referred to as Present Weather Sensors (PWS) and will be referred to “PWS” in this and any associated documentation. As many of these PSWs have reached their anticipated end of service life, Met Éireann is proposing to buy replacement and additional instruments, through this RFT, in addition to procuring ancillaries, spares, training and support.

RFT for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning and Calibration of Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) for Protein Complexes for Trinity College Dublin
Trinity College Dublin require the supply of Isothermal Titration Calorimeter (ITC) for protein complexes for the deliverables of a Research Ireland grant. The calorimeter is required for measuring micro-calories of heat evolved or absorbed from protein-protein and protein-small molecule interactions in aqueous solution. The measurement involves multiple injections of ligand (protein, other macromolecules, small molecules) into a cell containing another protein, small molecule, or other macromolecules. The titration is performed under isothermal conditions using a reference cell containing water or related aqueous solution that is similar to the experimental cell. Changes in temperature between the two cells during injections are rapidly equilibrated using active power compensation that is calibrated for calories of heat. The properties of the isothermal titration calorimeter should include the following: (1) The tenderer SHOULD provide a new or recent state-of the-art (ex-demo) model ITC calorimeter, and if ex-demo, it should be minimally used. Volume of experimental and reference cells should be approximately 200 mico-Liters. (2) Typical concentration ranges for analyses should ideally be in the range from 1 micro-Molar to 100 micro-Molar for macromolecules (typically proteins) in the cell, and 10 micro-Molar to 1M concentrations in the injections syringe for the ligand. (3) Preferred temperature range for isothermal titrations from 4 deg Celsius to 60 deg Celsius. (4) software that can analyse data and determine the Kd (dissociation constant), enthalpy, and entropy from analyses of the titrations. (5) Software should handle simple 1:1 binding models, with the possibility to analyse more complex interactions, such as multiple binding sites, sequential interactions. The capability to analyse complex binding with rigor would be a major advantage, as many interactions are not simple 1:1. (6) minimal generation of bubbles or artefactual heat, which may arise from high concentrations of viscous protein in cell (7) Ideally - prefer system/software compatibility with .opj files generated by Origin 7 (or later) software, since we have nearly 20 years of previous data collections. This could be transferred to new control computer for continuity. (8) New computer, drivers, and accessories required to run the calorimeter software.

LA3634C-DCC-CFT for the Supply of a Gas Chromatography system with a Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (GC-QQQ), Helium Saver Autosamplers for Purge and Trap and Solid Phase Micro Extraction
Dublin City Council (DCC) Central Laboratory wishes to procure a new gas chromatography mass spectrometry system for water quality analysis based on SI99 of 2023. Dublin City Council’s Central Laboratory conducts and provides INAB accredited testing of public and private drinking water supplies, as well as testing Uisce Eireann water samples from processing and the supply network as required. In future, DCC expects to focus increasingly on private supplies, and the applicable legislation requires the same range of tests as at present. Many of these tests are currently outsourced by DCC, meanwhile limits and enforcement are expected to tighten over time. The main focus of the current procurement specification is to bring analyses back in-house and onto DCC’s INAB ISO17025 scope, to maximise 1. Practicable reduction in the costs of outsourced analyses by the Central Laboratory 2. DCC’s ability to implement its current and future statutory testing 3. DCC testing capability to serve Local Authorities around Ireland 4. Provision of impartial means for DCC to verify the effectiveness of water management initiatives for Climate and Urban Resilience. Analytical parameters of interest are based on Statutory Instrument 99-2023 and include core suites of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs including THMs), Pesticides, and Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Potential future additions to the scope include the endocrine disruptors and (micro)plastic residues. To address this Dublin City Council request tender’s equipment supply, delivery, installation, setup, service and maintenance, warranty, software licences and upgrades, and a stock of consumable equipment parts, and training: for a Gas Chromatography system with a Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (GC-QQQ), Helium saver, and autosamplers for Purge and Trap and Solid Phase Micro Extraction.
