Iarnród Éireann proposes to establish multi-party Qualification System for Civil Engineering Works associated with the upgrading of the railway infrastructure and other related works that that Iarnród Éireann may undertake directly or on behalf of Bus Éireann, Dublin Bus or CIÉ on their properties. The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location. All Project works shall be tendered to those companies approved for inclusion on the Qualification System. Examples of project works required may include but are not limited to any of the following: • Maintenance works to existing over and underbridges. • Construction of new railway underbridges or overbridges. • Alterations to existing railway underbridges or overbridges. • Coastal defence works. • Waterproofing works. • Any works required to facilitate construction of new platforms and/or extension and upgrading of existing platforms. • Construction of footbridges and any associated lift installations. • Any works required to facilitate construction of new car parks and/or extension and upgrading of existing car parks. • Any works required to facilitate bridge widening, bridge replacement, bridge closures, road realignments, access roads etc. • Alterations to existing railway underbridges or overbridges. • Embankment/cutting works including widening, strengthening and repair. • Construction of roads, earthworks, drainage, boundary treatment and minor civil engineering and building works. • Any works required to facilitate the installation of ducting / services route etc, including installation of extensive ducting/service routes for new signalling projects, or relocation of services adjacent to the railway. • Demolition of existing railway structures. • Foundation works, ground engineering and geotechnical processes. • All associated temporary works to ensure the continued operation of the railway

9661 Qualification System for Bridge and Riverbed Inspections
IÉ invites applications to participate in the pre-qualification process to appoint suitably qualified companies to a qualification system for Bridge and Riverbed Inspection Services that may arise on an ad-hoc basis. Those companies successfully appointed to the Qualification System will receive all future tender enquiries. Iarnród Éireann has over 450 bridges (structures greater than 2m) over water. All these bridges and riverbeds require periodic inspections. Some inspections are carried out yearly, other are every 3 years and more are on a 6 yearly cycle. Iarnród Éireann is looking to appoint specialist expertise to undertake inspection of railway bridges that traverse water courses as well as carry out bridge and river surveys. The applicants are to provide expertise in the following areas: • Provide Health and Safety and Risk Assessment plans for the specific work • Provide qualified divers/surveyors for a bridge and riverbed inspections/surveys • Record the topography using surveying techniques • Using the previous base line surveys (supplied by IÉ) identify changes in the structure and/or the river channel. • Provide factual report on findings. • Provide for Engineers review (review undertaken by a Chartered Civil Engineer) of the factual report before the reports are issued to Irish Rail. The Qualification System is also to include for inspection of any structure following a major flood event. In the period after a flood event, structures throughout the IÉ network may need to be inspected to determine the extent, if any, of damage caused by the event.

National road 426 Eigerøy bridge
The main objective of the project is to replace the current Eigerøy bridge with a new bridge, which shall be constructed parallel to the south side of the existing bridge. When the new bridge is finished, the old bridge shall be demolished. In addition a foot and cycle path shall be established south along Hovlandsveien, on the current national road 426. Associated roads in the area shall also be upgraded in order to ensure a comprehensive improvement of the infrastructure.

National road 426 Eigerøy bridge
The main aim of the project is to replace the current Eigerøy bridge with a new bridge which shall be constructed parallel to the south side of the existing one. When the new bridge is finished, shall the old one be demolished. In addition a foot and cycle path shall be established south along the Hovlandsveien, on the current national road 426. Associated roads in the area shall also be upgraded in order to ensure comprehensive improvement of the infrastructure. New Eigerøy Bridge * The new Eigerøy bridge shall be constructed on the south side of the existing bridge. When the new the bridge has been completed, the old bridge shall be demolished. The new bridge is planned as a type of "Concrete slab bridge with blasted columns" with a length of approx. 272 m. * The bridge should typically have a total width of 13.6 m. * The sailing rectangle shall be (HxB) 22.5 m in 23.5 m. Other constructions * New culvert Lauåsen internal dimension (BxH) 3.5 m x 3.1 m * Support construction along Hovlandsvegen * Retaining wall and support construction at Hovlandsvegen 7 and 9 * Retaining wall along Old Eigerøyveien. * Other minor walls and support structures uncovered by the engineering design. need for. A new foot and cycle path shall be constructed as the main solution for walking and cycling. Some parts of the stretch will have pavements. * A new three-armed roundabout shall be constructed at Eigerøy. * The public transport stops along the stretch shall be upgraded to universal design and be equipped with shelters for better comfort and accessibility. * A new national road 426 shall be constructed on the east side of the new bridge, approx. 200 m eastwards. * Approx. 230 m new exit and local road from Langholmveien shall be constructed. Along Hovlandsveien * Along Hovlandsveien, National Road 426, a new foot and cycle path shall be constructed on the east side from the junction with Nyåskaiveien to the new Eigerøy bridge. This road shall connect on foot and cycle paths on the new bridge. The foot and cycle path is approx. 750 m long. The width of the new foot and cycle path varies between 2.5 and 3.0 m plus the shoulder and railing room. * The farthest south continues the current foot and cycle path on the west side of Hovlandsveien up to the existing pedestrian crossing at the public transport stops. No. 6 Harcourt Street is listed on the Dublin City Council Record of Protected Structures. Supply of services; conservation and preservation works to a protected structure; the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Ballina, County Mayo. The proposed works comprise the repair and reinstatement of key external elements of the building, aimed at preventing further deterioration and improving weathering performance. Stained Glass Repairs - Repair of existing stained-glass windows, including the replacement of approximately 43 damaged pieces to match existing.
