The refurbishment and redevelopment of No. 6 Harcourt Street Dublin 2 to provide for improved facilities for Conradh na Gaeilge, the Irish language development organisation. The proposal involves the renovation of the existing original house to accommodate a museum and cultural centre, and the construction of new accommodation to the rear to house administration and support facilities. No. 6 Harcourt Street is listed on the Dublin City Council Record of Protected Structures. Phase 3a: Ground Excavation, Secant Piling Works and Temporary Works* Phase 3a will constitute a piling works package for the basement construction. It includes: • Demolition of rear party wall to No. 7 Harcourt Street (above and below ground). • Backfilling of basement vault abutting the rear façade of the Protected Structure and propping of rear façade of the Protected Structure • Installation of basement piling works (Secant Wall) • Installation of shotcrete lining to inner face of piling wall • Ground excavation works to the underside of proposed basement slab • Temporary shoring props to restrain basement ope and all associated temporary site works
