LIFE IP Wild Atlantic Nature currently seeks a contractor to provide ecology expertise to the project working with our project team, NPWS in-house ecologists and across a range of ecological aspects including: work on detailed ecological surveys; peatland Restoration Action Plans (RAPs); assisting in the coordination of the project vegetation monitoring; GIS mapping; report writing; and the analysis of scientific data and preparation of this work for publication. It will involve liaising with a range of stakeholders including participant farmers, farm advisors, NPWS and other scientific contractors. Some community outreach activities may also form part of the contract.

Provision of ecological services to Tóchar Midlands Wetland Restoration
Tóchar Midlands Wetland Restoration seeks proposals for the provision of ecological services to support the delivery of project outputs for the restoration of wetland habitats within the EU Just Transition Territory in Ireland. The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH) was awarded funding of €12m from the EU Just Transition Fund 2021-2027 for a wetlands restoration scheme in Ireland’s Just Transition Fund (JTF) territory. Named the Tóchar Midlands Wetland Restoration Scheme, it is supporting a set of actions for wetlands restoration in a distinct area comprising all of counties Westmeath, Longford, Roscommon, Laois, and Offaly and parts of Galway, Kildare and Tipperary. The geographical area has a rich wetlands and peatlands heritage, notably of raised bogs, fens and callows. Tóchar will run until June 2027. It is managed by a small multi-disciplinary Project Team, under the direction of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, with offices in Birr, Co. Offaly. Tóchar is working across a large number of wetland sites, including fens, callows, blanket bogs, alluvial woodland, state-owned and privately owned. This particular contract will support the overall project in general, with a particular focus on wetland sites that come into the project via expressions of interest calls or via regional NPWS staff.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council will lead the delivery of a PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan for the Borough to promote positive relations between people from different backgrounds and communities. The PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan will support a number of programmes or initiatives across three key themes, Local Community Regeneration and Transformation, Thriving and Peaceful Communities and Celebrating Cultures and Diversity. The Client invites tenders to provide the service for an ICT for RIBA stages 1-6 to help deliver 12 capital projects within the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Local Community Action Plan. The project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project is for the provision of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) who must work with the Capital Works Manager, Capital Works Team or their designate to ensure all duties required under this appointment are being carried out to the satisfaction of the Employer. The project shall be responsible for the design and project management of the 12 projects as part of the Council's PeacePlus funding. The project will be from RIBA stages 1-6, including a feasibility study of the 12 projects submitted as an expression of interest to Peaceplus. These comprise 3 larger projects which have a maximum spend of £200,000 and 10 smaller projects which have a maximum spend of £30,000. The ICT is to attend each project and provide costs associated with it and comment if the works proposed in the group's expression of interest are feasible for the budgets set by SEUPB. Following a gateway approval stage from council / SEUPB the ICT will develop designs for each project, submit and achieve statutory approvals and issue tender documents for the successful projects. ICT will assume 12 projects will be successful to the construction stage.

The Port of Cork Company (PoCC) wishes to establish a Single Party Framework Agreement for the Provision of Legal Services in relation to Ringaskiddy Projects. PoCC will require third party funding and a construction works contractor(s), it is anticipated that the services required will include (but are not limited to) the following: Banking and Finance, Commercial Contracts, Competition and Joint Ventures, Construction Law, Capital Markets and Public Procurement The successful tenderer will work closely with the Port of Cork’s financial advisor and Law Agent in relation to the legal issues arising out of an assessment of preferred financial and funding options. In addition, the preferred supplier will advise on all aspects of the proposed construction works procurement framework(s) that will be used. Other advices may be required depending on consenting decisions of An Coimisiún Pleanála, Cork County Council, the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority and the Environmental Protection Agency. This RFT applies to the provision of legal services in relation to Ringaskiddy projects only.

The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) is looking for suitably qualified and experienced companies/organisations to tender for the supply of seabird tracking and biologging tags, including associated base stations and software, for use in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as part of the ACCLIMATISE project. The work will support seabird tracking activities and will contribute to a transboundary seabird conservation strategy and action plans for priority threatened seabird species. BTO is a project partner in the ACCLIMATISE project, supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). ACCLIMATISE is led by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI). Within this project, BTO is leading Work Package 2: ‘Transboundary Conservation Strategies and Sustainable Management of Marine Predators’. As part of this work, BTO (co-leading with the RSPB) will carry out extensive seabird tracking and ecological studies across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This specifically includes tracking to investigate the at-sea distribution, foraging ecology, and flight height in breeding Black-legged Kittiwake Rissa tridactyla (hereafter Kittiwake), Northern Fulmar Fulmarus glacialis (hereafter Fulmar), Common Guillemot Uria aalge (hereafter Guillemot), and Razorbill Alca torda. This tender relates specifically to the supply of seabird tracking and biologging tags to support this work. The appointment of a Tenderer will be by a process of open tender.
