British Council is delivering the CONNECT project funded by the PEACEPLUS programme which is managed by SEUPB, the Special EU Programmes Body from 1 July 2025 until 30 June 2029. The CONNECT project is led by the British Council and is implemented in partnership with Politics in Action (Northern Ireland) and Create (Ireland) and with the support of Arts Council of Ireland and Arts Council Northern Ireland as associate partners ensuring cross-border representation is at the forefront. As part of the PEACEPLUS CONNECT project’s cross-border community engagement activities, a series of Community Mapping Workshops and Thematic Residentials will be delivered across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland including Sligo. These workshops aim to support participants in reflecting on their local communities, identifying shared challenges and opportunities, and strengthening cross-community and cross-border dialogue. The workshops will contribute to engaging approximately 480 participants across the programme area.

Building on the engagement already undertaken through the development of FODC's first Heritage Plan, and the Expression of Interest process to be part of the ‘Exploring Local Heritage’ programme, the project will design, deliver and evaluate a district-wide heritage programme. The programme will engage a minimum of 350 residents across the seven District Electoral Areas of Fermanagh and Omagh to explore, interpret and share their local heritage, while building skills, strengthening cross-community relationships and supporting peacebuilding through inclusive, creative and participative activity. Key Objectives: • Connect communities in sharing their local history through inclusive, accessible and engaging heritage activities. • Capture and record stories that reflect the physical, social and cultural evolution of our towns, villages, landscapes and waterways. • Provide training in creative heritage interpretation, including musical heritage, oral history, storytelling, and other participatory heritage practices. • Promote peacebuilding through shared exploration of diverse narratives from across the district. • Celebrate cultural roots and commonalities through cross-community and cross-border activities, enhancing mutual understanding and respect FODC welcomes consortium applications involving a range of community, heritage and cultural organisations. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council will lead the delivery of a PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan for the Borough to promote positive relations between people from different backgrounds and communities. The PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan will support a number of programmes or initiatives across three key themes, Local Community Regeneration and Transformation, Thriving and Peaceful Communities and Celebrating Cultures and Diversity. The Client invites tenders to provide the service for an ICT for RIBA stages 1-6 to help deliver 12 capital projects within the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Local Community Action Plan. The project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project is for the provision of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) who must work with the Capital Works Manager, Capital Works Team or their designate to ensure all duties required under this appointment are being carried out to the satisfaction of the Employer. The project shall be responsible for the design and project management of the 12 projects as part of the Council's PeacePlus funding. The project will be from RIBA stages 1-6, including a feasibility study of the 12 projects submitted as an expression of interest to Peaceplus. These comprise 3 larger projects which have a maximum spend of £200,000 and 10 smaller projects which have a maximum spend of £30,000. The ICT is to attend each project and provide costs associated with it and comment if the works proposed in the group's expression of interest are feasible for the budgets set by SEUPB. Following a gateway approval stage from council / SEUPB the ICT will develop designs for each project, submit and achieve statutory approvals and issue tender documents for the successful projects. The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) is looking for suitably qualified and experienced companies/organisations to tender for the supply of seabird tracking and biologging tags, including associated base stations and software, for use in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as part of the ACCLIMATISE project. The work will support seabird tracking activities and will contribute to a transboundary seabird conservation strategy and action plans for priority threatened seabird species. BTO is a project partner in the ACCLIMATISE project, supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). ACCLIMATISE is led by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI). Within this project, BTO is leading Work Package 2: ‘Transboundary Conservation Strategies and Sustainable Management of Marine Predators’. As part of this work, BTO (co-leading with the RSPB) will carry out extensive seabird tracking and ecological studies across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This specifically includes tracking to investigate the at-sea distribution, foraging ecology, and flight height in breeding Black-legged Kittiwake Rissa tridactyla (hereafter Kittiwake), Northern Fulmar Fulmarus glacialis (hereafter Fulmar), Common Guillemot Uria aalge (hereafter Guillemot), and Razorbill Alca torda. This tender relates specifically to the supply of seabird tracking and biologging tags to support this work. The appointment of a Tenderer will be by a process of open tender. Request for Tenders for the provision of a PEACEPLUS Shared Narrative, Storytelling Project
A Shared Narratives Storytelling cross border Project that brings together diverse, divided and often overlooked groups in society to hear their stories related to the conflict and to celebrate the insight and understanding their perspective and experience brings to wider society. Within this project there are four core elements that together blend into this cohesive PEACE building project namely Element 1: Building on the Aftermath; Element 2: Focus on Women; Element 3: Education and Young People Element 4: Ex-political prisoners and security forces. All four elements of the project must be delivered. The aim of the project is to bring about behavioural and attitudinal change in the participants. The project will enhance the capacity of 1,100 participants to form effective and sustainable relationships with others from different backgrounds (behavioural change), using the different art genres as the storytelling medium (film, music, song, poetry/prose, theatre and photography, education). The project duration is two years and the budget is €371,400 (VAT inclusive). The project will entail 10-20 hours of meaningful and purposeful engagement for participants (hours will vary according to each of the above elements). The project will promote understanding, encourage further engagement, strengthen integration and reconciliation, build cohesion with and towards those from different target groups (attitudinal change).
