The contract includes 4 instrument options and service agreements. The procurement was initially an open competition, but was cancelled due to non-compliant tenders. A new negotiated competition was held with only the original tenderer invited, in accordance with Public Procurement Regulations.

A procurement contract has been signed with Life Technologies. The contract is for the procurement of 1 real time PCR for the Department of Medical Genetics at Helse Bergen HF.
