FAIR_Power Converters for SIS100 Extraction Septum Magnets 2 and 3
A new international scientific research centre facility FAIR (Facility for Antiprotons and Ion Research) is under constructed next to the existing GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research. FAIR will provide antiproton and ion beams of unprecedented intensity and quality. One of the essential parts of FAIR will be the Heavy Ion Synchrotron (SIS)100. High current Extraction Septa 2 and 3 magnets are components of the SIS100, which will be powered by 2 power converters. The current in the magnets must be ramped up to 13000 A with an absolute accuracy of 100 ppm. The maximum output voltage is of up to 100V. These power converters will be feed by 20kV supply system. In Table 4.1 of the Detailed Specification, ANNEX 3, the specified maximum available installation space for the power converters is to be understood as a preliminary guideline. Deviations from this requirement may be acceptable under certain circumstances and can be discussed during the negotiation phase, if necessary.

Supply of Passive Autocatalytic Hydrogen Recombiners (Lot 1) and a Hydrogen Monitoring System (Lot 2) for the confinement of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2. The national action plan of Armenia to improve the nuclear safety of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) based on lessons learned from the Fukushima-Daiichi accident, peer reviewed by the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG), includes an action point on implementation of measures to reduce hydrogen hazard probability and the measurement of hydrogen concentration in the containment of ANPP Unit 2. This supply tender aims to contract supplier(s) of equipment and associated services for hydrogen management in the containment of ANPP Unit 2. Lot 1: Design, manufacture and supply of a set of Passive Autocatalytic Hydrogen Recombiners and auxiliary tools. The tentative total rated depletion rate of the set shall be no less than 105 kg/h. Lot 2: Design, manufacture and supply of a Hydrogen Monitoring System and auxiliaries. For both lots, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant will, amongst others, be responsible for the installation and commissioning of the equipment under supervision of the selected supplier(s).

Dublin City Council (DCC) Central Laboratory wishes to procure a new gas chromatography mass spectrometry system for water quality analysis based on SI99 of 2023. Dublin City Council’s Central Laboratory conducts and provides INAB accredited testing of public and private drinking water supplies, as well as testing Uisce Eireann water samples from processing and the supply network as required. In future, DCC expects to focus increasingly on private supplies, and the applicable legislation requires the same range of tests as at present. Many of these tests are currently outsourced by DCC, meanwhile limits and enforcement are expected to tighten over time. The main focus of the current procurement specification is to bring analyses back in-house and onto DCC’s INAB ISO17025 scope, to maximise 1. Practicable reduction in the costs of outsourced analyses by the Central Laboratory 2. DCC’s ability to implement its current and future statutory testing 3. DCC testing capability to serve Local Authorities around Ireland 4. Provision of impartial means for DCC to verify the effectiveness of water management initiatives for Climate and Urban Resilience. Analytical parameters of interest are based on Statutory Instrument 99-2023 and include core suites of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs including THMs), Pesticides, and Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Potential future additions to the scope include the endocrine disruptors and (micro)plastic residues. To address this Dublin City Council request tender’s equipment supply, delivery, installation, setup, service and maintenance, warranty, software licences and upgrades, and a stock of consumable equipment parts, and training: for a Gas Chromatography system with a Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (GC-QQQ), Helium saver, and autosamplers for Purge and Trap and Solid Phase Micro Extraction.
